Unlimited substitutions
Goalies may only handle the ball within the designated goal box
Goalies can only hold the ball for 5 seconds (*results is turn over to opposing keeper)
Goalies cannot pick up back passes
Out-of-bounds restarts are kick-ins
Balls that hit the ceiling or any hanging objects are restarted as kick-ins on the nearest sideline
Kick-ins must occur within 5 seconds of placing the ball (*results is turn over)
If a team does not have the minimum number of players to start of a match by the team's game time:
i. Game clock starts at game time, and team immediately concedes one (1x) goal
ii. Teams have a maximum of ten (10) minutes for more players to show up to start the match
iii. If team is still short players at the five (5) minute mark, team concedes another goal
iv. If game clock reaches ten (10) minute mark, the team will forfeit the match with a 0-2 loss
No slide tackling!
Direct kicks include: fouls, hand balls, corner kicks, & penalty kicks
Indirect kicks include: Kick-off & kick-ins
Foul accumulation rules are in effect: Five (5x) fouls = PK to opposing team. Every additional three (3x) fouls after the initial 5 results in a PK for the opposing team
Players do not have to leave court on yellow card offenses
Accumulating two (2x) yellow cards will result a red card suspension from the match.
Red carded offenses will result in a 1-3 game suspension depending on severity. Fighting, either individually or a team, can see you, or your team, suspended from the league for up to 2 years.
Teams will generally have one (1) game a weekend with start times ranging from:
Fridays 7:30p - 9:30p
Saturdays 5:00p - 9:00p
Sundays 3:00p - 7:00p
Teams may roster up to 12 players
Teams can be co-ed
Players can switch teams one time (1x) within the first four (4) games.
*Note: Once you leave a team, you may not rejoin that team's roster within the same season
Every player on a team needs to Sign the insurance waiver form before he/she starts playing in the league
The court consists of two (2x) side-by-side wooden basketball courts to play across
The ball is size 4 ball and is lightly weighted to prevent excessive bouncing on hard courts
Goals are approximately 6.5' high x 12' wide
Indoor/flat shoes recommended - no cleats or spikes!
Shin guards not required, but allowed
Jerseys or same color shirts recommended - pennies provided if team colors are too similar
